Zhangjiajie National Forest Park Overview
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, located in the Hunan Province of China, is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes that seem to defy the laws of nature. Established in 1982, it was the first national forest park in China and covers an area of approximately 480 square kilometers (about 185 square miles). The park is a prominent part of the Wulingyuan Scenic Area, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992 due to its unique geological features and stunning natural beauty.
