Huascarán Overview
Huascarán National Park, situated in the heart of the Cordillera Blanca in the Ancash region of Peru, is a breathtaking expanse of natural beauty and striking landscapes. Established in 1975 and covering an area of approximately 3,400 square kilometers (about 1,312 square miles), the park is named after Huascarán, Peru’s highest peak, which reaches a towering height of 6,768 meters (22,205 feet) above sea level.
